The Liberia Endangered Language Project (LIBELP) is excited to announce its official launch, a historic event dedicated to preserving and revitalizing Liberia’s sixteen endangered indigenous languages. This momentous occasion will take place on March 15, 2025, at the University of Liberia Capitol Hill Campus in Monrovia, Liberia, starting at 10:00 AM.

What to Expect

The launch event will be a celebration of Liberia’s linguistic and cultural diversity, featuring:

  • Inspirational Speeches from stakeholders, cultural leaders, and language experts.
  • Presentations on the importance of language preservation and LIBELP’s mission and vision.
  • Cultural Performances showcasing the richness of Liberia’s traditions.
  • Exhibitions highlighting LIBELP’s projects, including language documentation, online resources, and mobile app development.
